Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9, 2008
We left Prague by bus on Saturday morning and stopped at midday at Karlovy Vary (also known as Carlsbad), renowned for centuries as a health spa and resort for the wealthy thanks to its springs of hot mineral water. We reached Nuremburg in late afternoon and there boarded our riverboat cruise ship, the Amacello, which would be our comfortable and conveniently mobile home base for the next seven days. On Sunday, we enjoyed the first of many informative guided tours, followed by free time for shopping or leisure time aboard the Amacello.
