Siding the House

Highlights of 2013
February, March, May, June, August

Overview of 2013

Minneapolis had a snowy winter, and the snow and cold lingered longer than usual, which made us especially happy for the chance to visit friends in northern California for several days in March, where we enjoyed the mild spring weather that had already arrived there.

In May, we spent a few days in Denver to help Matt and Virginia celebrate Matt receiving his MBA - an admirable accomplishment! We grabbed another chance for a long weekend in late June, and enjoyed a weekend of sightseeing and theatre in New York. In early August, we were visited by Matt and Virginia, and also took a quick trip to Las Vegas for the big, annual Star Trek convention that has become one of our regular getaways. August also included a visit to the "Great Minnesota Get-Together", our State Fair.

Our other big "adventure" this year was having the siding replaced on our 24-year-old house. It all went smoothly, especially considering that a lot of the heaviest work was done over the course of one of the hottest, most humid weeks of the summer! But the crew were true professionals in every sense, and we're quite happy with the results.
