We spent a lovely four-day weekend in New York at the end of June. We started with a Friday evening play in East Hampton, then spent Saturday morning in Patchogue, Long Island, trying to figure out where my grandparents lived in the 1930s and '40s. (Wonderful librarians led us to several good resources and we picked up a few clues, but there's more research to be done!) We saw two more plays, one each on Saturday and Sunday, and explored the new Highline Park, the north end of Central Park, and Coney Island, none of which we'd visited before. Lots of train riding and lots of walking, as is only proper in New York City!
